Cupping therapy
in Queens

Wet cupping, massage cupping and red light therapy, ten minutes from Kew Gardens Hills and Fresh Meadows. Ten dollars a cup — and the consultation, the massage cupping and the red light are free with every session, not charged as extras.

Three kinds of cupping therapy, one price

Most clinics in New York treat massage cupping and red light as paid add-ons, or do not offer them at all. Here all three happen in the same appointment and only the hijama cups are charged.

  • Wet

    Hijama — wet cupping therapy

Suction, then a few superficial scratches, so a small amount of stagnant blood is drawn off rather than left sitting in tissue. The Sunnah practice, and the one most people book. $10 per cup.

  • Dry

    Electric massage cupping

Cups worked across the back like a massage. No broken skin, no bleeding. Given free before every hijama here, and bookable on its own if you would rather not bleed.

  • Light

    Red light therapy

A few minutes under red light to warm and relax the area before anything else begins, so the muscle is never worked cold. Also free with every session.

What people come to us with

Cupping therapy is not a cure-all, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What it does well is relieve pain and congestion and give the body a reset. Most people arrive with one of these:

  • Lower back pain and sciatica
  • Migraines and tension headaches
  • Neck and shoulder tightness
  • Chronic fatigue and poor sleep
  • Painful or irregular cycles
  • Stress that sits in the muscles

If you would rather not bleed — on blood thinners, pregnant, or simply nervous — the massage cupping and red light therapy are a safe alternative and cost nothing.

A practitioner of your own gender

Women are treated by Hasina and men by Ahmad, in separate partitioned areas. No practitioner works on a client of the opposite gender. Families come together and are seen separately. Between them they speak English, Farsi and Pashto.

If modesty is the reason you have put this off, that is the reason this is set up the way it is — see hijama for women.

What cupping therapy costs here

Ten dollars per cup. Nothing else is charged. Cupping therapy in New York City usually runs $60 to $150 for a single session, often with the consultation billed separately. The number of cups is agreed with you at the consultation, so you know the total before anything begins.
